May 27, 2022, at 7 p.m., at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul. Cathedral Arts presents a concert celebrating the formal release of Elaine Greenfield’s new double disc CD, Ravel Compared, by Parma Recordings.
At the concert Elaine shares insights into her eight-year project, discusses Ravel, and plays music from the recording.
The CD features 80 minutes of Ravel piano works, on two contrasting pianos. The 1893 Erard piano on disc one, displays the sound we can imagine Ravel heard. The Ivers and Pond grand, on the second disc, reveals the same music with a modern 20th century sound, in contrast.
Tickets:
Adult: $25
Seniors and Student: $20
Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. With limited seating, we recommend buying them in advance. All admission proceeds will be donated to the Vermont Food Bank.
