This is a free, monthly space to gather with others who are interested in exploring ecological questions, emotional elements of climate change, ideas of change, building community, and creating a thriving world.

Each month we explore a different theme. The host, Ariel, will provide a little structure, but it will be a fairly open format and leave plenty of opportunity to discuss, share, and explore. 

August's topic is "When climate change gets personal"

While some parts of the world have been experiencing climate change first hand for years, many Americans have felt relatively buffered from its direct effects. With heatwaves in the south and southwest, uncontrolled Canadian wildfires and their smoke blanketing vast swaths of the continent, and catastrophic flooding in Vermont and other northeastern states, it is getting harder and harder to distance ourselves from the issues. Climate change is viscerally here. As we wade through floodwaters, cough on smoke, struggle with headaches or worse from the heat, climate change is in our bodies. 

This month we are coming together to talk about what changes when we experience climate change first hand. When it goes from an intellectual, abstract phenomenon, to our lived, felt experience. Come with your grief if you have it, because there is love in it. Come with your rage because there is courage to build. Come with your good ideas, encouragements, and offerings too.
