PLEASE NOTE THAT AS OF SUNDAY, MAY 21st OUR CONCERT IS SOLD OUT. YOU MAY TO TRY AT THE DOOR FOR LAST MINUTE CANCELLATIONS!
Since ancient times, poets and composers have been inspired by dramatic feelings and experiences that emerge at night. These concerts will include a variety of beautiful and evocative pieces for women’s voices that reflect powerful emotions of love and devotion, both sacred and secular, that are often associated with the moon and stars at night. Featured composers include Johannes Brahms, Randall Stroope, Cole Porter and many more. Cantiamo, Bella Voce's small chorus, will add a bit of cinematic color to the concerts with Vuelie – a song based on an ancient traditional Scandinavian folk song from the movie Frozen - and an Acadian folksong Marie Madeleine complete with spoons for accompaniment! Joining Bella Voce as Guest Artists will be Mary Ann Samuels on hammer dulcimer with Chapin Kaynor on recorder.
