You've heard of wine grape varieties, but what about cider apple varieties? You won't find them in a grocery store any more than you would a bunch of Pinot Noir grapes. Taste and learn about the heritage of these apples and then taste what they become in your glass, led by Adam Goddu and Jenn Dettweiler. Afterwards, take part in a special after-hours shopping experience with an exclusive discount. Cheese and cider bar snacks will be provided.

Adam Goddu is a Certified Cheese Professional with a passion for cider. Previously, he served as Director of Educational Programming at Murray's Cheese in New York City. A New England native, Adam moved to Vermont to join the team at Eden Specialty Ciders in spreading the word about heritage cider.

Jenn Detweiler spent seven years at Albemarle CiderWorks in Virginia, doing it all from cider making and orchard tending to pouring in the taproom. She found her passion managing the nursery at Albemarle, caring for the young trees of the nation's most extensive collection of tannic and heirloom apple varieties. New to Vermont, she's been enjoying harvest season at our orchard in the Northeast Kingdom this season.

Eden Specialty Ciders is headquartered in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, a region known for its agricultural and artisan production. The Leger family started making cider in the basement of our farmhouse at our West Charleston orchard and later expanded production in our cider making facility in a historic industrial building in downtown Newport. At Eden Boutique Taproom & Cheese Bar in Downtown Winooski, we offer a retail and tasting experience with artisan cheese, charcuterie, and accoutrements. Our award-winning heritage ciders feature tannic and heirloom apple varieties in a range of styles including sparking, still, dry, and semi-dry.
