Grab your pardners and mosey on down to Merrill's Roxy Cinemas for the world premiere of Crowdsourced VT Toy Story! Created by 33 teams of filmmakers of all ages and experience levels from across Vermont (and just a smidgen from the rest of New England), this remake of the good ol’ animated frenemy movie is chock-full of your favorite moments and some new ones.

Doors open at 6:30pm, so you and your favorite action figures can get some snacks, take a snapshot at our photo booth, and meet our filmmakers.

This premiere will have captions and ASL interpreters, and is in an ADA accessible theater (it’s practically Star Command!). Please call 802-651-9692 or email [email protected] with any accessibility needs or questions. We're on a mission to ensure that every Toy Story fan has a buzz-tastic time!

This project is supported in part by the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

----------------

Crowdsourced Cinema VT is a statewide creative challenge, produced by the Media Factory in partnership with an alliance of Vermont community media centers. The organizations are all members of the Vermont Access Network, (VAN), a membership organization of the 25 regional Community Media Access Centers operating more than 80 local cable channels across Vermont. VAN Members use emerging communications technologies to foster free speech, encourage civic engagement, enhance public discourse, and allow elected officials and community members to communicate better. Key partners include Brattleboro Community TV, Greater Northshire Access Television, Mt. Mansfield Community Television, Lake Champlain Access TV, and SAPA-TV, all of whom run summer camps for Crowdsourced Cinema VT or coordinate events and workshops.

The Crowdsourced Cinema VT project is part of a regional collaboration with Brookline Interactive Group and Northampton Open Media (the original creator of Crowdsourced Cinema), each of which are producing their own version of the same film.
