This is a free, monthly space to gather with others who are interested in exploring ecological questions, emotional elements of climate change, ideas of change, building community, and creating a thriving world.

Each month we explore a different theme. The host, Ariel, will provide a little structure, but it will be a fairly open format and leave plenty of opportunity to discuss, share, and explore. 

April's topic is Fall in love with a climate denier: Nurturing Philia with your Cringe

There is no shortage of "anti-alarmist" climate deniers, distracted politicians, and seemingly apathetics who discount the criticality of addressing ecological degradation. They all may feel cringe-worthy; you may roll your eyes at them; and you may even want to fight and yell. But, what if you didn’t?

What if you met these “opponents” as your betrothed? You have signed up for an arranged marriage, and this is the person placed in front of you. What if you are promised that they will be your best life-partner, and all you must do is begin with care and respect, and search for commonality? What kinds of possibilities might flow from philia?
