What is the Eco-Resiliency Gathering?
An on-going, monthly(virtual) gathering space where we nurture regenerative more-than-human cultures of care and justice. We explore the psychological, emotional, and spiritual spheres of the intersectional eco and climate polycrises. Each month we share conversation, insight, responses, and sometimes activities surrounding a central theme. Oh, and there is always poetry!
December's topic is: peace amidst the storm
We know ecological destruction and climate chaos are joining forces with social inequity, geo-political saber rattling, and private corporate agendas to creates a perfect storm of unease, distress, and distraction. At times it can feel hard to remain present with the things and people we care about, and stay engaged in creating the ethical and just world we want.
What if we could be the peace amidst the storm though?
It might not always be desirable, achievable, or a silver bullet. But, what if? How might aligning with peace transform your life, the lives of those around you, and the eco-climate-poly crises we face? We will explore what peace means and how it can be nurtured, theories of change and how internal peace can transform the external, and what it looks like to be peace amidst the storm.
Come join a welcoming and wise conversation with compassionate folk who care deeply about creating a better world!
Sessions are held online, so you can invite your far-away friends!
