Understanding embodied leadership including using integrated decision making, the Inner Board of Directors, and self-care practices for embodied leadership.

JourneyWorks is excited to sponsor this 1 Day training with Linda Marks MSM

Embodying mind-body leadership is a way of life. As we become more emotionally embodied, and cultivate intentional presence of mind, body, Hara and heart with our practice, whether it be in energywork or mental health we naturally become integrated mind-body leaders. What we embody creates an energy field that holds everyone around us. Incorporating mind-body meditation, grounding exercises, group discussion and a wonderful mind-body tool called the Inner Board of Directors, we will explore how to stay grounded and connected with the flow of life, including challenging situations requiring us to embody leadership skills. We will also reflect on what's in the way of embodying our leadership right now, and how to move through these barriers so we can become more emotionally embodied, maintain an intentional presence and be the leaders we can be.

Training Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to define what embodied leadership is, differentiate it from more familiar models of leadership and describe 5 qualities of an embodied leader.
  • Participants will be able to give examples of barriers to embodied leadership and will be able to determine strategies to overcome these barriers.
  • Participants will be able to explain what emotional safety is, and what it is important in self-care and clinical care.
  • Participants will be able to apply their understanding of emotional safety in their work with clients.
  • Participants will practice tools and techniques to stay grounded in challenging situations, so that they can use them personally and professionally.
  • Participants will discuss what helps them stay grounded and identify situations where they may lose their grounding.
