Carina Hamel is a co-founder of Bivo, a performance hydration company. As a former NCAA nordic skier and endurance aficionado with a passion for product development, her worlds collided when she realized there wasn’t a good solution for drinking water while riding bikes. She broke the mold and made the first stainless steel bottle with a flow rate fit for all outdoor enthusiasts. Having spent a year abroad at the age of 16 sparked Carina’s enthusiasm and curiosity in cultures around the world. The desire to work internationally led her to footwear development, eventually setting up new manufacturing partners and facilities around the world. Her work has taken her globe-trotting on incredible international adventures – both in the outdoors and in business. A mom of four year old Svea and one year old Nolan, Carina loves to run, ski, bike and play outside with her kids.

Mieko Ozeki is a mother, wife, business owner, and advocate for agricultural and small businesses. Her career has evolved for 20 years from outdoor / experiential education to environmental management and campus sustainability. She is the owner of a boutique content creation and branding agency (Radiance Studios LLC) and cofounder of Vermont Womenpreneurs, an event production and platform that connects and amplifies the stories of women business owners in the state. Currently, she serves on several boards including Vermont Farmers Market Association, Intervale Community Farm, Northeast Organic Farming Association- Vermont, and Commissioner on Governor Scott's Future of Agriculture Commission.

Please note, we will be taking extra safety precautions this year: masks are optional, and we ask that you stay home if you’re sick. If you are unable to attend in person, not to worry! As always, the event will be recorded by The Media Factory and available to stream.
