Mornings at farm camp are spent working with animals as we collect eggs from chickens, milk goats, and perform other related tasks.
During Fiber Arts Week, we look to nature for all its remarkable fiber sources. Campers will gather cattails from the nearby marsh, and use them to weave a cattail mat, make cordage, or even create a cattail doll. If cattail creations aren't their thing, then campers can use the wool from our Icelandic sheep to make wool bracelets, or simply spin yarn. Other fiber projects we have done in the past include dying fabrics using natural materials found on the farm, making milkweed figurines, and creating wooden jewelry.
