The Green Mountain Book Festival is a nonprofit organization in Burlington, Vermont, that celebrates a weekend of literary community each fall. Our headliner this year is cartoonist and author Alison Bechdel, who will be opening our fest on Friday evening, September 29th, with the bulk of our programming taking place on Saturday, September 30th, and Sunday, October 1st in the Fletcher Free Library on College Street in downtown Burlington. Last year we welcomed more than 700 Vermont-based book lovers to the fest, and this year we expect even more.
Our vendor tables will be located in the main reading room of the Fletcher Free Library on Saturday and Sunday (9/30, 10/1). Vendors will be provided with tables and given access to outlets as needed. All other materials, including decoration or promotional materials, must be provided by the Vendor. The price for a table is $75 for the weekend.
Programming on Saturday will be aimed at adults, with panels such as Book Banning, Romance, and the American Dream. Featured authors include Alison Bechdel, Stephen P. Kiernan, Nikhil Goyal, and more.
Programming on Sunday will be aimed at a children's audience, with interactive programming that includes Writing for Teens, Picture Book Magic, and much more. Featured Sunday authors include Caldecott winning illustrator and author Jason Chin, Coretta Scott King Honor winner Kekla Magoon and more. For a full list of the weekend's programming, please visit: https://www.greenmountainbookfestival.org/
Saturday programming runs from 10am to 5pm. Vendors are expected to be set up by 9:30am, and will receive access to the library by 9am. On Sunday, programming runs from 10:30am to 4:00pm. Vendors will receive access to the library by 10am. Vendors are expected to stay until the end of programming each day. Vendors will be allowed to keep their materials in the library overnight so they won't need to set up again on Sunday.
Please be aware that we have limited space for vendors and we're operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with any questions.
