Burlington entrepreneurs on how they've built their businesses. Featuring founders of Vermont Comedy Club! Natalie and Nathan!

Nathan Hartswick and Natalie Miller are the co-founders and co-owners of Vermont Comedy Club, a world class standup, improv and sketch comedy theater in Burlington, VT. VCC opened in 2015, quickly becoming one of the most well-regarded comedy venues in the country, attracting the likes of such legendary comedians as Marc Maron, Tig Notaro, and Maria Bamford.

The couple (yes, they are married to one another!) performed for many years with VCC’s mainstage improv team, “The Unmentionables,” and now perform with “The Kingdom Kids.” They have been featured performers on festivals from Montreal and New York to Miami and San Diego.

Both Nathan and Natalie teach improv classes and workshops at Vermont Comedy Club, as well as festivals, theaters and corporate events. Both have studied extensively with instructors from Upright Citizens Brigade, The Second City, and iO. Nathan has also taught a popular standup comedy class for over a decade. Nathan and Natalie are past recipients of Vermont Business Magazine’s “Rising Stars” award, and Vermont Comedy Club has won multiple “Daysies” (readers choice awards, Seven Days newspaper).
