Join Rachel Sargent Mirus in an ONLINE art project inventing your own imaginary animals on Tuesday mornings this July!
In this three-part workshop, we’ll take inspiration from nature by first learning about a group of real animals through show and tell. We’ll look at what makes: Day 1-- a mammal a mammal
Day 2-- a bird a bird, and
Day 3-- an insect an insect .
Then using our new knowledge Rachel will guide you to make up brand new animals!
Classes will be held virtually and students can use any materials they prefer. Rachel will be demonstrating primarily with drawing tools, and will provide a extra post-class activity to try each the week. Students will be invited to share their work publicly, if they choose, through the Grange Hall Cultural Center digital platforms
