In his 55 year professional career, Paul Asbell has earned a reputation as a “musician's musician". While in his hometown of Chicago, he played and recorded with Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Paul Butterfield, Magic Sam, Pops Staples, Earl Hooker, and many other blues heroes.
