Join us for a night with this folk supergroup featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Kristin Andreassen!

Kristin Andreassen combines award-winning songwriting and percussive dance in performances that have been heralded “inventive” by the New Yorker and “haunting” by NPR’s Folk Alley. Since coming of age with two of America’s most beloved traditional music ensembles (Uncle Earl and Footworks), Kristin has turned her deep knowledge of timeless roots music into a knack for creating original songs with that kind of staying power.

Kristin has now joined forces with Jefferson Hamer and Lauren Balthrop, both acclaimed musicians in their own right, to create this super-trio. Out of NYC, Hamer is a songwriter, guitarist, producer and traditional musician known for his time playing with the Murphy Beds, Session Americana, and Sarah Jaroz, among many others. Lauren Balthrop comes to the group from a longstanding career writing songs, singing, and playing keyboards with indie groups such as Balthrop AL and Lucius, and just released a solo album produced by Josh Kaufman (Bob Weir, the National, Amy Helm, Hiss Golden Messenger).

As a unit, these three weave their various backgrounds, influences, and experiences in the world of folk into a tapestry of songs that are thought provoking, heartfelt, and honest -- all grounded by top-notch harmonies and infectious rhythmic arrangements.
