In this free 6-week course, adult participants will engage in hands-on cooking and nutrition education activities that focus on balancing and planning meals, stretching food dollars to maximize nutrition, shopping strategies and cooking techniques.

If you are interested in preparing more meals from scratch; learning how best to budget food dollars and plan healthier meals; and consuming more fruits, vegetables, grains, and calcium-rich foods; then this is the class for you! This class is for adults only.

Class meets every Tuesday from 6pm - 8pm on Oct 30, Nov 6, 12, 27, Dec 4, and 11.

The series will be co-led by RCK co-founders Amy Gifford (chef) and Susan Whitman, PA-C (nutrition educator).

The Learning Kitchen classes are targeted to Vermonters from limited-income households (those whose incomes are at or below 185% of the federal poverty level, or who qualify for free or reduced price school meals or for the WIC, Reach Up, or 3SquaresVT programs).
