About the instructor:
Chelle Hall was born just north of Tokyo, Japan. She moved to the states as a young girl, but Japanese food has occupied her heart and stomach. At 16, she decided to pursue a career in cooking, and started at Burlington Technical Center for their culinary arts program. At that age, Chelle and her mother started putting on sushi-making demos for small groups at the school to share her heritage and passion for Japanese food. After high school, Chelle attended Johnson & Wales University for their culinary arts program. Upon graduating, she returned to cook in the Burlington area, cooking in a variety of restaurants that mostly focused on farm-to-table cuisine, such as The Inn at Shelburne Farms and The Farmhouse Group. While she is not cooking in a sushi restaurant, she almost exclusively cooks Japanese food at home. Currently, she is the sous chef at The Fritz Bar and Restaurant at the Stowehof Inn in Stowe.
Class is $50 per person. Our facility is BYOB, feel free to bring a beverage of your choice to class.
