Community Engagement; Why it Matters. Three artists discuss approach and collaboration.

Join local artists Alissa Faber, Trish Denton and jen berger, who all use community engagement in their work, in a discussion about the why & how of community engagement. Whether you're organizing a campaign, or teaching a class, or creating a project, community engagement can strengthen the work you are doing. You do not need to be an artist to attend.

The event is at The Hive on Pine’s gallery space. There is limited seating.

Dinner and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. You are welcome to bring beer, wine, cider for yourself or to share. Please email [email protected] with any dietary restrictions.

Alissa Faber is an artisan, designer and educator creating and teaching in Burlington, VT. She facilitates art making and creative thinking with participants ages 3-83 in all types of community spaces. Trish currently serves as the education coordinator for the The Vermont Folklife Center. With her freelance practice ln Tandem Arts, she works with museums, schools and cultural institutions to produce interdisciplinary projects with a pedagogical twist.
