July 21 Update: Tickets to the Fermentation Tent are available at the event

— This year, our 30th Festival introduces a new fermentation tent to enhance the educational aspect. Attendees can delve into the fermentation process, engage in panel discussions, and savor Vermont's top fermented foods and brews. The discussions will revolve around "Demystifying Microbes," aiming to uncover the key microbes driving various fermentation projects. We will emphasize that understanding and engaging with these microbes doesn't have to be intimidating, empowering attendees to explore the world of fermentation armed with basic knowledge of the microbial realm.

PRICE: The Fermentation Tent is an additional charge experience priced at $15 per ticket, which includes 5 extra beer tickets (3oz pours).

Each session will feature two food vendors, one brewery, and the moderator, Travis Limoge. A short panel discussion will take place, and there will be an opportunity to sample during the 30-minute session, if desired.

We are excited to host the 30th Vermont Brewers Festival this year on July 21-22, 2023. The Vermont Brewers Festival is one of the premier beer festivals in the world, held on the waterfront of Lake Champlain overlooking the Adirondack Mountains. Established in 1991, it is the only festival hosted by the brewers themselves and will feature 35 brewers on Friday and 35 brewers on Saturday. A handful of brewers will be at both Friday and Saturday sessions. You'll taste over 100 beers, many brewed exclusively for our festival. Enjoy live music, local food trucks, Vermont products, and games. The festival is hosted by the Vermont Brewers Association, a nonprofit membership organization that was founded in 1995 to promote and strengthen the culture of craft brewing in Vermont through marketing, education and advocacy for Vermont made beer. Tickets are $60 with $2 from each ticket going to the Burlington Park and Recreation Department to support Burlington's Waterfront Park.

New for 2023:

It has been a hard and challenging past couple years for everyone. In an effort to provide the best possible festival for you, our loyal supporters and for our brewers who have been working hard throughout this pandemic, we will be changing up the festival a bit. But we can assure you, you will still chat with the brewers who brewed the beer you are sampling and you will continue to discover Beer Worth Finding®.

  • Three Sessions. We will have three sessions this year. One on Friday evening, and two on Saturday.
  • Smaller Sessions. We will have fewer tickets available for each session. Waterfront Park is a huge space, we want people to spread out and enjoy all this beautiful space.
  • Our Brewers. Having our brewers attend one to three tasting sessions rather than spending the entire weekend on the waterfront for four sessions will help ease the stress of running business and being at our event. Many brewers are still very much understaffed. We don't want to overwork our brewers — instead we want to show them how much we appreciate them!
  • Out of State/Country Brewers. We will have 10 out-of-state/country brewers joining us for this year’s festival.
  • Beer Tasting Bracelet and Choose Your Pour Size. Each attendee will receive bracelets with 15 pull tabs on them to use for drink tickets. You may choose your sample size. You receive 15 beer samples with admission. 1 sample/pull tab = 3 oz; 2 samples/pull tab = 6oz; 3 samples/pull tab = 9oz. Beers over 8% ABV require additional pull tabs. You may purchase 5 extra beer tickets at the VBA tent. Designated Drivers cannot receive any alcoholic drink tastings.
  • Fermentation Tent. In the past, we have had an educational experience tent with chocolate, cheese, and beer pairings. This year, we will have a fermentation tent with samples of locally fermented goods (and beer!) and panel discussions. Tickets for this experience will be sold on-site and will be $15. These tickets include 5 additional drink tickets.
