Join Executive Chef Douglas Paine for this unique walk and cooking class.
This class will begin with a walk through a nature preserve in Richmond and a hunt for wild mushrooms. Hopefully, we will find a few varieties to bring back to RCK and talk about how to properly clean and prepare them. You will then have your own cooking station and learn the secrets behind a simple mushroom tartine; a classic on the brunch menu at Juniper Restaurant.
About the instructor:
Douglas Paine is the Executive Chef for Westport Hospitality. Westport operates three hotels and two restaurants in Chittenden county including the award-winning Hotel Vermont, Juniper Bar and Restaurant and Bleu Northeast Seafood.
Class is $75 per person and includes the mushroom hunt and learning to prepare (and eat!) a mushroom tartine. You may choose to pay online with a credit card, or sign up at the retail store to pay with cash or check.
