At the Root

At the Root LLC, provides specialized consulting, resources, trainings and skills to nourish and support social justice work through art, community, and food. We aim to bring art and creativity into community events and social justice campaigns, while also providing consultation to artists in connecting their skill sets and effective social justice messages.  

At the Root's mission is to help you "get to the root" of your work. Through a variety of creative services, we can help you manifest your vision, connect with your audience, and increase your customer base.

Our goal is to help you grow your capacity to do good work while increasing your revenue and meeting your goals.

At the Root is based out of Burlington’s South End Arts District, and is available by appointment.

Jen Berger, the founder and owner of At the Root,  comes from 20+ years of working in social movements and creative practices. She has networks throughout the state of Vermont, as well as being connected to social justice networks throughout the country.

Jen’s excellent track record of success is supported by the customers who have been happy with the results of her work supporting their projects. Jen’s breadth of knowledge in social change work, familiarity with campaign development, and extensive work experience in multiple artistic capacities within social justice campaigns provides a unique opportunity to tailor the work you need done to your specific needs.
