The dance will begin at 2:30 pm, with a quick teaching session for beginner dancers starting at 2:10 pm.

Tickets for the dance only are $15.

Capacity is limited, so purchase your ticket early to assure your space.

Masks are optional for the dance. Please be considerate if you are not feeling well on the date of the event.

The dance will be held at the North Star Community Center, formerly known as The Champlain Club, located at 20 Crowley Street in Burlington. NOTE that parking for the dance is not permitted on Crowley Street. Street parking is available on North Avenue and other nearby side streets.
Following the contradance on Sunday evening, there will be a special evening concert starting at 7 pm. The featured artists are Becky Tracy and Keith Murphy. Also performing will be Stove Dragon, as well as Boston-based a cappella quartet Crooked Mowth. Joint tickets for both events are now SOLD OUT, but individual tickets for the concert are still available. Click here for more details about the concert, including tickets for the concert only.

Stove Dragon

Four of New England’s finest contra musicians come together into a single kindly dance-beast: meet Stove Dragon, breathing in notes and breathing out smoldering rhythms and flickering melodies, igniting dancers' feet and toasting listeners' ears.

Oliver Scanlon (fiddle, mandolin, feet, vocals) and Rose Jackson (fiddle, vocals) fill the room with melodic lift and tight, dynamic double-fiddle harmony, while Sam Zakon-Anderson (keyboard) and Max Newman (guitar, mandolin) are a beating heart of fiery piano-guitar groove.

Stove Dragon draws on the combined tool kits of their individual experiences touring with Pete’s Posse, Nor’easter, Polaris, The StringRays and more. Their music propels you forward through snappy New England tunes, punchy French Canadian sets, smooth and driving Irish reels, delightful improvisations, and trad-inspired originals, all infused with the subtle warmth of excellent musicianship.

Let Stove Dragon take you for a spin, but hold on tight!
