Vermont Blues Society

​The Vermont Blues Society, Inc. [a 501c3 VT Non-Profit] has been created by Dennis Willmott of Left Eye Jump, Charlie Frazier of Blues for Breakfast and Sandy Combs, to help VT Blues fans, blues musicians and VT venues have a single resource to connect and collaborate.

​Our Goals:

• Raise awareness of the newly founded Vermont Blues Society and its mission
• Promote open blues jams, local blues performers, and national blues performances taking place in VT
• Expand and engage a broad-base of VBS membership
• Utilize social media - a Facebook page and a website with an active calendar
• Co-Produce a marquee blues event in the state of Vermont

A secondary goal is to participate the national BLUES FOUNDATION statewide Blues Challenge for local Blues performers and Blues Bands - which, in turn, will allow us to send the winners to the annual Blues Foundation International Blues Challenge competition held in January.​

​Vermont Blues Society’s mission is to preserve the heritage of blues music, celebrate blues recording and performance, expand local awareness of the blues music, enhance opportunities for Vermont-based blues musicians, and ensure the future of this uniquely American art form is alive and well in Vermont.
