The Decades is an immersive event featuring multimedia artists that specialize in memorable experiences. Sponsored by Eden Ciders & Switchback Brewing, we are pleased to host this event as a kick-off for our 2025 Museum Season!
Opening Day for Saint Albans Museum is May 17th! To kick off the season we are hosting THE DECADES. This is a costume party. Dress up from your favorite decade between 1920-2020 and experience a world where the decades blend together. Good conversation, dancing, and memory-making is guaranteed. Event is from 7-11 pm, bar is open from 7-10:30 pm. DJ Sets by DJ Cosmos, Moon Balloon, and Disco Phantom. Harp by Marie Hamilton. Projections & art by St. Albans Museum, Snail mail and Vanish Works. This event is a fundraiser. All bar proceeds benefit Education & Programs at SAM. Bring your wallet for the bar and attend with generosity in mind :)
ENTRANCE
For this event, we ask that you enter through the FRONT DOOR of the building. The main entrance in the front of the building requires climbing 3 flights of stairs. If you have mobility concerns, please coordinate drop off at the back door where our elevator is located.
ATTIRE
This is a costume party. Dress up from your favorite decade between 1920-2020. Range from casual to formal at your own discretion. Have fun with it! Visit Spotlight Vintage at 20 N Main St, St Albans City for ideas!
PARKING & ACCESSIBILITY
Please save parking behind the museum for elder attendees and those with mobility needs. Street parking is available on Church Street and Main Street. If you require use of our elevator, park and/or coordinate drop off behind the building. A greeter at our back door will be available to assist you at drop-off.
BAR & DONATIONS
Please bring cash or card for bar purchases - all bar sales with be a donation to the museum! Your support sustains future offerings in Education & Programs at SAM.
SMOKING
The museum and Bliss Room venue are housed in a treasured historic building. Our collections and our building are precious. If you are inclined to smoke, please step into the park to maintain 50 feet from the museum entrances. We appreciate you!
